Ann is a long-standing experienced HK tutor who enthuses the students with her passion for this amazing therapy.
In 1993 she was one of the first 3 HK tutors in Europe to be authorised by Dr Jimmy Scott, the founder of HK.
Ann has been responsible for training many of the professional HK practitioners working throughout the UK having taught over 350 classes of HK in the UK, two in Germany, one in Sydney Australia and now teaching in Wanaka NZ.
Prior to her re-location to Wanaka in New Zealand Ann was Head of HK in the UK and co-ordinator for the Open College Network accredited programme from 2001 to 2008. Ann trained initially with Jane Thurnell-Read and has been practising HK since 1990.Over the intervening years Ann has attended all the advanced HK workshops taught by Dr. Scott and Jane Thurnell-Read.
Ann is a graduate of the Queensland Teachers College, Brisbane, Australia. She taught for twelve years in mainstream education in Australia and Canada. During her time in Canada she also ran programmes for adult learners. In 1984 Ann received her Bachelor of Arts from the UK Open University in Milton Keynes majoring in mathematics.
While Head of HK UK Ann directed the training of the HK tutors in the UK and chaired all the internal moderation meetings for quality control of student work and teaching standards. As part of her remit as Head of HK UK and co-ordinator of the OCN she visited HK classes throughout the UK to meet the students and to watch the teachers teach.
From August 1996 to March 2003 Ann was a member of the working party which produced the draft for the UK government to set the Kinesiology National Occupational Standards. KNOS was officially recognised by the UK government in April 2003.
In April 2004 Ann was elected a Policy Board member to help run the Kinesiology Federation, the UK’s professional umbrella and served in that capacity until October 2007.
In 2007 Ann prepared a presentation for the Australian Kinesiology Association to have Health Kinesiology classes HK 1 through to HK 7 recognised as a professional Kinesiology. This recognition was granted in May 2007.
In September 2007 Ann was made a Fellow of the Kinesiology Federation in recognition of services to Kinesiology in the UK over many years. In December 2007 Dr Jimmy Scott presented Ann with a Certificate of Appreciation for contributions to Health Kinesiology.
Training in HK 1-6 with Ann Parker was an amazing experience, not only the content but Ann’s style of teaching: clear and understandable, professional, disciplined and caring. Most of all Ann was there when we needed her – to listen, guide and encourage. From all of this, I learned the art of HK and became a round peg in a round hole in my present career.

Sandie Lovell, Practitioner and Trainer - Health Kinesiology NZ

Sandie Lovell KFRP KANZ Professional Member
After working in Analytical and Scientific Services, Research Division, British Rail for 21 years, I decided to change my focus in life and trained in Aromatherapy, Sports Massage and Touch for Health. I was also looking for a solution to long term health problems and finally found complete healing through Health KinesiologyTM.
I have had the privilege to be trained in HK by Ann Parker (Head of HK UK 2001 – 2008), Jane Thurnell-Read (Head of HK UK 1990 – 2000) and Dr Jimmy Scott, the founder of HK.
From 1996 to 2008 I had HKTM practices in Ashbourne, Monsal Head, Ripon and Chesterfield. Now I have relocated to live in Wanaka, NZ and I am establishing a practice here.
Over the years I have been privileged to share many different healing journeys with my clients. I now feel I am ready to share a different type of journey with others- a journey of self-discovery through learning HKTM rather than being treated with HKTM. I know this particular path I have chosen will be as enlightening for me as it will be for the students. I am very excited about the opportunity to teach HKTM and at the moment co-teach with Ann Parker in Wanaka, NZ.
